Queens College: "Majors Reimagined"

Bio: What if a Psychology major didn’t have to become a psychologist after graduation? What if they could publish a novel, create racial equity programs, and help business leaders design inclusive workplaces? First-year students will learn about the nuances of college, careers, & life. By the end of this workshop, participants will learn how to approach decisions in college and life with less attachment to a fixed outcome.

Testimonial
: “I appreciate how you style your workshops to be engaging and visual (I had a few students comment on that aspect of your workshops both last spring and yesterday afternoon). I know that the students appreciated hearing more about your background and how your academic choices & internship/job opportunities helped to pave the way to where you are now. Seeing how it all connects, even if at the time they think what they are doing doesn’t matter or won’t have an impact on their future, is exactly what they need to see and you helped to bridge that gap with those students yesterday.” - Kristin Berkey, Assistant Director, Office of Student Development & Leadership
